It was our MD, Harps’ eighth time in Dubai, also known as the ‘City of Gold’. However, this time Siren team members joined him for an exciting work trip, where we had the privilege of pitching to a potential new client. With a booming economy, cosmopolitan lifestyle and increasing demand for digital marketing services, Harps appreciated the potential in the emerging Dubai market back in 2011.

So, when the prospect of expanding our operations finally surfaced, we went all-in for first place in the City of Gold.

The trip was centred on a pitch to a key player in the thriving and rapidly growing Proptech sector. The client, a genuine visionary transforming the real estate market, perfectly reflects Siren’s ambitious culture and passion for innovation.

One Size Doesn’t Fit All

Since locals make up just 15% of Dubai’s population, you’ll come across people from all walks of life in this enormous multicultural city. Dubai is renowned for business, tourism, and almost everything high-end and luxurious. The ‘world’s biggest/tallest/most spectacular… (enter your favourite attraction here)’ is a common theme when navigating the city, but what’s really worth seeing?

Burj Khalifa

It’s easy to spend hours marvelling at this stunning building stretching into the clear blue skies. Step inside and you’re met with the world’s fastest elevator for a rapid ascent to the top (beware of the ear-popping). At ground level, the dancing fountains are just as spectacular, starting at 6 p.m. and repeating every half hour until 11 p.m.

The Dubai Mall

Moving on from the world’s tallest building, we find ourselves in the expanse of the world’s largest mall. It’s a retail paradise and we’d be surprised if any brand hadn’t staked its claim here!

For those accompanying partners with perhaps less enthusiasm for shopping, an escape awaits in the form of an aquarium…filled with sharks.

To break the theme, we thought we’d focus on the world’s second tallest hotel at a mere 355 metres high. No prizes for guessing where the tallest is, though.

This remarkable hotel provided the perfect spot to get our heads down and focus on delivering exceptional results for the clients back home. This spot, which offers multiple workspaces, is worthwhile for any business travellers wanting a classy place to concentrate.

The Palm Jumeirah

A trip to Dubai isn’t complete without visiting this man-made wonder. Take a 30-minute trip over from downtown (try to spot the 7* Burj Al Arab hotel on the way) and you’re greeted by a lively atmosphere with vibrant bars, golden beaches and clear seas.

Bridging Gaps in the UAE

Our work trip to Dubai was more than just a pitch; it was a strategic investment to unlock fresh opportunities and propel our mission of bringing big ‘London Agency’ ideas to the masses.
